Barbie & Teresa: Recipe for Friendship (Netflix) - Prop Modeling & Surfacing

It's been two years since I worked on Barbie & Teresa: Recipe for Friendship, and I'm so thrilled to finally share my work on it! Anyone who knows me in real life knows that I am the biggest Barbie girl ever, so it was really a dream come true to be able to work on a Barbie animated movie. I started on the project as a modeler, and had the opportunity to work on a handful of props, as well as set dressing on an outdoor set. Later on, I was transferred to the surfacing department, where I was able to texture some of the props I had modeled as well. As Barbie has been part of Mainframe Studios for so long, there was a lot of reuse and modifying older assets, or up-resing the textures, but it was a great experience nonetheless. Hope you enjoy!

Eduarda Mariz and I set dressed this environment from a 2D concept and a library of assets. I took care of set dressing the foliage and arranging all the tables and chairs, along with the centerpieces on them.

I had the pleasure of set-dressing this kitchen, and took care of arranging background props in an organic way (like the mugs on the shelf) and adding props like the corkboard, including the papers pinned onto it.

Another shot of the set that I set dressed, featuring two other assets I worked on. I modeled and surfaced the paper bag full of veggies, which was a lot of fun! I also surfaced the blue plate in the center of the counter, making it look dirty/greasy.
