Stylized Portfolio - OAC Grant

I am extremely happy to show my stylized portfolio, produced with the financial help of the Ontario Arts Council! I received a Project Grant for New Generation Artists that covered the expenses of my CGMA course as well as the 3D programs I used to create my projects, such as 3ds Max, Substance Painter and Photoshop. I had a lot of fun learning new handpainting skills, and challenging myself to do things in a style I hadn't really explored before. Big thanks to the Ontario Arts Council, and to my teacher, Ashleigh Warner :) #ArtAddsValue

Step-by-step concepting. I sketched out a few ideas (not pictured), chose my favourite one and modeled it in 3D. Then, I painted over a screenshot of the 3D so I could have a really clear idea of what I wanted

A 2.5D handpainted tree, concepted, modeled and handpainted by me. Also yes, this is a 3D model, not an illustration!

Tree Concepting. I really like my second idea but ended up going for something a little more fantasy inspired

I was trying to be very conscious of colour when concepting, so I used some tools to help figure out which colours I wanted to use.
